March 3, 2016 - The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting March 15, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. The speaker this month will be Mr. Neal Murphy of San Augustine. He is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas as well as the Sons of the American Revolution, being the great, great grandson of Col. Alexander Horton, one of the founding fathers of the state of Texas. He will be touching on several topics of interest pertaining to our area. Everyone is invited to attend.
