Shelby County Under Tornado Watch, Warning

Tornado watch 2 is in effect until 4AM CST for the following Texas Counties: Angelina, Bowie, Cass, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Tornado Warning for West central Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana, Southeastern Shelby County in eastern Texas, East central San Augustine County in eastern Texas, Northwestern Sabine County in eastern Texas until 1145PM CST.

At 1054 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Macune, or 22 miles north of Ebenezer, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Hazard: Tornado.

Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near Rosevine around 1105PM CST. Milam around 1120PM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Sexton, Chinaquapin and Toledo Bend Reservoir North.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
