March 27, 2024 - On Monday, March 18th, the Shelbyville Dragon Band participated in UIL Concert and Sight-Reading contest. This contest is comprised of a stage performance as well as a sight reading evaluation. The Shelbyville Dragon received a first division rating from all six judges at the contest. This rating indicates a superior rating and is the highest possible outcome available. Straight ones at Concert and Sight-Reading along with straight ones back in the Fall at UIL Marching Contest also highlights the band as a Sweepstakes Band for the year, again the highest possible outcome for the entire year.
Congratulations to the students, directors and Shelbyville ISD community for this awesome accomplishment. It’s a great day to be a Shelbyville Dragon.
