Shelbyville Fans Celebrate Homecoming, Vaughn Crowned Homecoming Queen

Kaleb Campbell escorted Homecoming Queen Kalie VaughnOctober 2, 2017 (Parade - Album1, Album2; Coronation and Game - Album1, Album2, Album3) - Shelbyville fans celebrated with homecoming activities Friday, September 29, 2017 and Kalie Vaughn was crowned the 2017 Shelbyville High School Homecoming Queen. She was escorted during the coronation by Kaleb Campbell. Kalie is the daughter of Brian and Nova Vaughn and the granddaughter of Gordon and Linda Vaughn, Dale and Dois Glover, and Doug Wilburn of Joaquin.

During halftime activities, Yadira Reyes was announced to be the band sweetheart and Kyle Tindol the band beau. Football sweetheart was Katie Casey.

Dragons lead 7-0 until 40 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter and the Bulldogs break through the Dragons defense for a touchdown. A 2-point conversion attempt was stopped by the Dragons and they ended the half maintaining their lead with 7-6 on the scoreboard.

In the 3rd quarter the Bulldogs returned to the field determined and scored two more touchdowns taking the lead, Dragons 7 and Corrigan-Camden 19. The Bulldogs scored  with 9:52 on the clock in the 4th quarter for 7-26 lead over the Dragons.

The Dragons ended the game scoring a touchdown with 1:33 left on the clock which ran out for a final score of Shelbyville 14 - Corrigan Camden 26.
