January 25, 2024 - The month of January is proclaimed School Board Recognition Month to build awareness and understanding of the crucial function elected school board trustees play in communities and schools across the state. Shelbyville I.S.D. students benefit every day from the dedication and commitment to public education of our local trustees.

Our current board members are Etola Jones, President, 14 years; Mark Bohannon, Vice-President, 10 years; Joey Lawson, Secretary, 11 years; Joe Tom Schillings, 15 years; Tim Bradshaw, 10 years; Chris Koltonski, 8 years; and Arvis Moore, 2 years.

These trustees dedicate expertise, time, and energy to the task of governing our school district.
