Summer Reading Program Off to a Constructive Start

June 9, 2017 - The first week of the Library's 2017 Summer Reading Program had a constructive beginning with their "Build a Better World" theme. The Tweens, kids ages 9-13 years, focused on "space" with their Lego projects.

John Austin Ford who attend the program said, "It was a lot of fun and everyone had a smile on their face. There was a lot of cool Lego builds there by everyone."

For the morning program, the librarian Sandra Davis said there were 65 kids who attended the Puppet Wise show as part of the younger children's program for ages 4-8 years old.

The next library Summer Reading Program day is Thursday, June 15, 2017. The younger children will once again meet at 10:30am and the program will be Sara Ward, The Story Lady. This will be the first time for The Story Lady to be part of the Summer Reading Program.

The Tweens will meet at 2pm on Thursday, June 15 and enjoy Lego group with a theme of "Transportation."

Don't forget to keep track of the reading time/title logs. They must be completed and turned into the librarian by Friday, July 7, 2017.
