Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society's meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 17, has been canceled.
January 8, 2024 - Timpson Area Genealogy and Heritage Society welcomes Cecil Whitton as our speaker Wednesday, January 17 at 2 PM in the Timpson Public Library annex. An avid metal detecting enthusiast, he will share the joys of metal detecting and some of the specimens he has found.
The father of our own TAGHS member, Zoie Whitton, Cecil is a Shelby County native who has lived in Timpson since 1969. He met his wife, the late Kay Rhodes Witton, at Timpson school, from which he is a graduate.
Members of the public in Timpson and our surrounding area are welcome.
