April 12, 2017 - Danielle Smith, a teacher at Timpson ISD, shared with Shelby County Today information about the program ‘Teens in the Driver Seat.’ She encourages teens to participate in the program by downloading the app today and compete tomorrow.
April 1 kicks off Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Do your part by using the Teen Driver app. Each week in the month of April, Teens in the Driver Seat, will be awarding Amazon gift cards to the top three drivers with the most distraction free trips and distraction free miles. That's 6 winners a week!
We'll also be awarding schools' TDS Cup points for the most distraction-free points by school. It's never too early to start racking up those points!
Lastly, at the end of the month the top six teen drivers with the most points in April will win; a new Android tablet, Apple tablet, Android phone, Apple iPhone, VR headset, or Whataburger for a year, thanks to our partner and app developer, Mobisoft.
