July 10, 2017 - Important News: Monday, July 10, the youth center has begin its summer meals program.
We will be open from about 11am until 1:30pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Free sloppy joes for the first day. Once we have a good idea of how many to fix for, we will offer something like grilled burgers.
Volunteers for a meal would be very much appreciated and if interested, please message me so that I can schedule you for a day.
The Back to School Bash will be August 12. We are beginning to reach out to local businesses and organizations for help to purchase school supplies, but physical help is something needed and could be best supplied by local backers like many of my facebook friends.
Contributions towards either of these in the way of monetary donations are tax deductible if directed through Tenaha Youth Center.. Remember, our youth will soon become those who will be choosing our next leaders or they may even become our next community leaders and their values are currently being shaped by those influencing them now.
Lets make the influence they receive a positive one by assuring they have adequate supplies for their education and adequate food during the summer when their normal access to free meals at the school are not available.
