Texas House Adopts Resolution Honoring Baileys

March 17, 2017 - House Resolution 788 in honor of Terry and Pamela Bailey was adopted by the Texas House on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Rep. Chris Paddie authored the bill and sought its adoption.

In a Facebook post, Paddie stated, "One of the greatest honors I have, as a State Representative, is to author and pass memorial resolutions in memory of constituents. Some are harder than others and this week was one of those difficult and emotional ones. This week my colleagues stood with me, as we passed HR788 honoring the lives of Terry & Pam Bailey of Center. These folks were family and dear friends. We will forever miss them. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with their wonderful family."

Following the reading of the resolution, Rep. Paddie gave remarks on the Bailey's. He explained to the other Representatives the reason why they were honoring both Baileys is their Valentine's Day helicopter trip to Shreveport, La. ended in tragedy on February 15, 2017.

Paddie spoke of Terry Bailey's many successes in business and in life. He stated Bailey was a member of the Texas Deer Association, and Paddie revealed they too had representatives at the House on that day, which was Deer Day at the Capitol, and they were present in honor of the Baileys.
