January 12, 2017 - A third individual has been arrested in connection with a beating and kidnapping which allegedly took place on December 13, 2016.
Tobby Mardis, 39, of Timpson was arrested on December 31, 2016 and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, felony 1, $5,000 bond set; aggravated robbery, felony 1, $25,000 bond set; and aggravated kidnapping, felony 1, $25,000 bond set.
Mardis was previously unidentified in the original article relating to the incident for which he was arrested. The arrest affidavit, identifies Morgan Magee and Kevin Askew as two individuals involved in the incident and they, as previously reported, were arrested in this case.
According to the affidavit, the victim also identifies the larger of two black males involved as Mardis and alleges Mardis held a large hunting knife over the victim.
