- Saturday, October 14 – Pre-UIL Marching Contest in Carthage @ 3pm.
School Supplies Donated – Timpson ISD staff and students wish to thank all those who donated school supplies to the Back to School Bash held at SoSo Park. Many of the members from local churches donated needed school supplies that staff and students greatly appreciated. Nationally teachers often spend money out of their own pockets to buy needed supplies for students so Timpson ISD staff are grateful to our school district and community for supplying our students with supplies they need to have a successful school year.
TISD Students At Poultry Festival - Timpson ISD was well represented at the opening ceremony of the East Texas Shelby County of Commerce Poultry Festival. The Timpson Elementary school Pre-K class led the Pledge of Allegiance and Timpson High School junior Macey Jo Hanson, who is the Poultry Festival Queen, cut the feathers to officially open the festival. Thank you to all students for representing Timpson ISD so well.
THS Yearbook - Friday, October 13th is the deadline to order a 2017-2018 Timpson High School yearbook price at the introductory price of $40.00. The price will then increase to $45.00. Please contact Danielle Smith at the high school or mail her at dsmith@timpsonisd.com
THS Pink Out Game - The Timpson High School FCCLA will be selling the merchandise at the Oct. 20 Pink Game football game. This event creates awareness of breast cancer and raises money to help those who battle cancer.. If you are interested in reserving anything, please let me know. We are only ordering a limited supply of each.
TES Pre-K Newsletter
This week we... 1) Read the story "Be Safe, Little One." 2) Learned about the Letter D. 3) Learned about being safe. 4) Reviewed all letters.
Next week, we will... 1) Read "ABC: What Makes a Healthy Me?" 2) Learn the rhyme "Humpty Dumpty." 3) Learn the letter E. 4) Learn the number 3. 5) Learn about healthy snacks. 6) Introduce tools of measurements. 7) Talk about healthy vegetables.
Upcoming events... 1) October 31st will be our Halloween Snacks. 2) We will be doing a vegetable taste test on Friday. Please send either small tomatoes, baby carrots, cut up broccoli, cut up cauliflower, or any other vegetable that can be eaten raw.
Reminders to parents... 1) School starts at 7:45 each morning. 2) The school day ends at 3:25. Parent pickup will go out at 3:15. 3) Please send box tops or labels for education. These raise money for our school. 4) Please send soda tabs, too.
