Timpson ISD Bear Update: Blood Drive News, Livestock Show & Sale News

March 10, 2015 - Timpson ISD Bear Update highlights Gulf Coast Regional blood drive held at the school in February and gives more information about Timpson students who participated in the Shelby County Livestock Show and Sale.

From Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center – On her 18th birthday, Elizabeth happily danced the night way—something she wasn’t able to do 10 years ago, while her arms and legs were temporarily paralyzed due to the side effects of chemotherapy. Thanks in part to Commit for Life donors, Elizabeth received multiple units of platelets over a four-year period and was able to successfully overcome brain and spine cancer. Thank you!! Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and area patients like Elizabeth, thank you for your blood drive. Your blood drive results are as follows:

The highest placing Senior in the Market Steer Division is Keaton Bush. Keaton will receive a $500 Scholarship.

The highest placing county bred heifer was shown by Ally Kimbro. Ally will receive $750 from Link Charolais and Dr. Derek Grant and 2nd place county bred heifer was shown by April Ramsey. April will receive $250 from Link Charolais & Dr. Derek Grant.

In the goat division, Triston Smith of Timpson FFA was named Champion Senior Showman and was presented a buckle by Timpson FFA. April Ramsey of Timpson FFA was named Champion Junior Showman and her buckle was presented by Tenaha FFA.
