THS Students Complete Technical Classes - Timpson High School counselor Mrs. Charlotte Metcalf is pleased to state that THS has two students who have successfully completed the semester in technical courses taught by Panola College. Junior student, Isaiah Molly has enjoyed welding and plans on continuing his education in the spring and next school year. If he continues at this remarkable rate, it will be possible for him to obtain his associates degree by his graduation date of May 2016. Deon Woods has completed the CNA class and will take his state exam in January. He has been inspired by this class to major in nursing after graduation. The tuition for these classes was paid for by TISD. THS is grateful the opportunities provided to our students. Next semester, there will be up to 8 students enrolled in the CNA class and at least one more student taking a welding class.

Bears Care - Agents for Change is sponsoring a Toys for Tots Drive and a Canned Food Drive right now. The FCCLA is working with Agents on these two projects. We will be donating the food to several families in our community and to the Timpson food bank. The toys will be going to some families in our community and to the advocacy center. Toys and canned goods can be dropped off at Timpson Elementary or Timpson High School. Agents for Change will be going to the Garrison Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 16th to sing carols, pass out homemade Christmas cards, and visit with the residents. Tammy Sparks is the sponsor for Agents For Change and Danielle Smith is the sponsor for FCCLA. These projects are an example of how our campuses work together for the good of others and it shows how Bears Care!
