TES Meet the Teacher
Dr. Seuss decorated halls and classrooms along with Timpson Elementary School teachers and staff greeted students and parents during the annual TES Meet the Teacher night. Principal Bubba Carrington said a large number of excited students and parents attended the event to meet teachers for the 2015-2016 school year. The staff greatly appreciated all those who attended and invite everyone back on Thursday September 17 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for an ice cream social and to pick up the first six weeks progress report.
JV Football
Tonight (August 27th) THS JV Football vs. All Saints Episcopal - at Home – 6pm.
THS Volleyball
The Timpson High School Lady Bears volleyball game scheduled Tuesday Sept. 1 will be played in Center at 5:00 in the afternoon in Center. Please come out and support the Lady Bears!
State Accountability Rating
Timpson High School met state accountability standards on all four required areas including student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps and post-secondary readiness. In addition to meeting the state standards, THS received four distinction designations for Academic Achievement in Reading/ELA, Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievement in Social Studies and Postsecondary Readiness. In the state system safeguards Timpson High School met 8 out of 9 equaling to 89% in performance rates, met 5 out of 5 equaling to 100% in participation rates, and 1 out of 1 for 100% in graduation rates. THS Principal Ronald Lindgren credits these outstanding results to the dedication and hard work of his staff and students who strive to achieve the campus motto,” Where we Inspire, Engage and Achieve.”
