Early Release
Timpson ISD will early release on Friday, November 10 at 1:30 p.m. – Classes will resume at the regular time on Monday morning November 13.
 
LBV Regional Quarterfinals Champions!!!!

The Timpson High School Lady Bear Volleyball team defeated Carlisle in three sets 27-25, 25-20, 25-16 Tuesday evening, November 8 winning the Regional Quarterfinals.  The team has now gone three deep in the State volleyball playoffs winning Bi-district, Area and the Regional Quarterfinals.  The team will play Iola in the Regional tournament at Longview High School Friday, November 10 at 4:00 p.m.
 
FCCLA News
The Timpson High School FCCLA is asking everyone to wear red, white or blue on Friday, November 10 in honor of Veterans’ Day.  The Timpson Veterans’ Day program will be Friday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the high school gym.  Everyone is invited to attend to honor our veterans.
 
American Legion Post 90/Timpson ISD Veterans’ Day Program
American Legion Post 90 and Timpson ISD will honor veterans at the annual Veterans’ Day program Friday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m.

Veterans are asked to meet in the vestibule of the Timpson  High School gym at 9:45 a.m. so that we can get your information to recognize each veteran by name, rank and war in which you served. The program will include Presentation of the Colors, recognition of veterans, a speech, presentation of flags by kindergarteners and seniors and patriotic music played by the award winning Timpson High School and Master Sergeant Daniel C. Penhallegon will sing the National Anthem.

The cheerleaders and twirlers will escort the veterans and their spouses into the program. Everyone is invited to join us for this important event to honor and thank our service men and women for their service.
 
Veterans to be Recognized at Timpson/Tenaha Game
Veterans will be recognized and thanked for their service at Friday night’s November 10 Timpson vs. Tenaha football game at the John Herbert Eakin Sports Complex in Timpson. 

All veterans including those from Timpson and Tenaha are invited to meet at the flag pole at 6:45 p.m. for the flag raising and the National Anthem.
 
Griffin’s Game
The Timpson vs. Tenaha varsity football game has been chosen for Shreveport’s KTBS Channel 3 sportscaster Bob Griffin’s “Griffin’s Game”. The game that Griffin is calling the Texas Tussle will decide the district champion of 11-2A. 

The winner of the game will receive the Griffin Game Ball.  Griffin’s Game highlights of the Timpson vs. Tenaha game will be broadcast following the game on the show Friday Football Fever. Read more about this on www.ktbs.com. Click on Sports.

The Timpson Bears vs. Tenaha Tigers Varsity football game is  Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the John Herbert Eakin Sports Complex in Timpson. Go Bears!
