This Week’s Shelby County Football

Last Friday the Center Roughriders won their homecoming game over the Chapel Hill Bulldogs by a 55-14 margin. They got four touchdowns from Keamodre Horace who now has 907 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns this season. The ‘Riders are 3-1 and will host the Van Vandals on Friday September, 25, 2020. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. The Vandals are 2-2 and they beat visiting Pittsburg High School by a 30-2 score last week.

The Joaquin Rams moved their record to 3-0 last week with a 37-0 road win at Ore City High School last Friday. They will be home this Friday to face the Clarksville Tigers (2-2) for the Ram’s homecoming game. Clarksville lost to Prairiland by a 51-21 score last week. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.

The Shelbyville Dragons won their homecoming game over the Groveton Indians last Friday by a 54-27 score. The Dragons are now 1-2 and will enjoy a bye this week. Next week they will host Timpson on October 2, 2020.

The Tenaha Tigers took a tough 43-26 loss at Clifton High School last week. The Tigers are now 1-2 and will host the Lovelady Lions (1-3) at home Friday at 7:00 p.m. Lovelady lost to Normangee High School last Friday by a 50-12 score.

The Timpson Bears moved their record to 4-0 with a 54-19 road win over the Price Carlisle Indians. This Friday they will host James Bowie High at 7:30 p.m. The James Bowie Pirates are 2-2 and beat Union Grove by a 18-12 score.
