DPS Reports of Three-Vehicle Crash Involving Timpson Resident

June 13, 2016 - Nacogdoches County DPS troopers responded on June 10, at approximately 6 p.m., to and investigated a three vehicle crash on US 59 about six miles south of Nacogdoches.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2012 Dodge van failed to yield right-of-way from FM 2864 and was struck by a southbound 2013 Honda CRV. After the initial collision the Dodge van struck a 2012 Ford pickup that was stopped in the turn lane of US 59 waiting to turn onto FM 2864.

DPS Reminds Texans to Drive Safely During Spring Break

March 7, 2016 - AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is urging drivers on Texas roadways to adhere to all traffic laws and use extra caution when driving during the weeks of Spring Break, when highway traffic can increase.
 
“Safe driving practices and complying with traffic laws help drivers avoid dangerous or life-threatening situations on Texas roads,” said DPS Director Steven McCraw. “DPS is encouraging individuals to always drive sober and distraction free in an effort to help keep travelers safe during the busy Spring Break travel season.”
