Are You Ready? (By Mike Mills)

January 9, 2018 - Are you ready for the coming of the Lord? If he comes this morning will you welcome him or will you try to hide from him knowing that you are not prepared to stand before him in judgement?

Those are hard questions that each must ask of himself for the day is coming when the Lord will come and call his own to him, will you be in that group, or, will you be left in the much larger group to face the Great Tribulation?

In God’s Word: Abiding in the Lord

December 27, 2017 - As we approach this new year please allow me to speak to you about abiding in the Lord. Let us all be resolute in our determination to abide in the Lord in 2018 and beyond.

All throughout the Bible we read about (abiding). The dictionary says the word (abiding) means; “to have one’s abode, to stay, to continue, to have a relationship”. So, the word means we are to have a relationship in or with whatever we are to abide in.

In God's Word: Light of the World

December 20, 2017 - When God made the first two people, Adam and Eve, he placed them in the Garden of Eden with only one rule. 

“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying; “you may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17) 

Now we know that Adam and Eve did indeed eat from the tree, committing the very first sin on earth. As punishment for this original sin God drove them from the garden, never to return.

December 12, 2017 - What do you desire in life this morning? Do you wish for fame and fortune, for gold and silver? 

Or is your wish for family and friends, for fellowship with those you love? 

Let’s look to the Proverbs for some ideas about what we should wish for in our lives today.

“A good name is to be chosen rather than riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.” (Proverbs 22:1) 

Why a good name above riches, could not one buy a good name if one had plentiful riches?

In God's Word: Narrow Gate to Glory

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)

November 21, 2017 - As Christians we are taught to trust not in man, but to put our trust only in the Lord for only the Lord is trustworthy and true, yesterday, today and forever.

And so as I travel through this cruel, evil world I look to the heavens for my help knowing that all good things, all help comes from the Lord God above.

Solace in the Lord (By Mike Mills)

November 15, 2017 - Jesus came to save the world from sin and through his sacrifice on the cross of Calvary this was accomplished, once for all.

Yet too many refuse to accept this free gift of eternal life, too many either do not believe in Christ and his blessed works or they just are not interested in anything other than the present life here on earth.

This is sad but true, most will not make it into heaven, most will be doomed to an eternity of torment in hell. 

In God's Word: But There is No God

November 2, 2017 - There are many today who say; “but there is no God, no afterlife, no heaven, there is only today in this world we see on earth, make the most of it.”

Sadly so many are being taught this fallacy by members of our education system. I find using the term “education system” so deceiving when referring to our network of colleges, our places of supposed higher learning.

America has allowed, through our own laziness, atheists and false teachers to infiltrate our universities and today our children are being led away from God by these workers of evil.

In God's Word: Turn to the Lord

October 17, 2017 - The great king of Israel, David, a man after God’s own heart, but, a man also of imperfect desires. A man who needed help from the Lord to protect him from the enemies of this world.

We are no different today, no matter how large or powerful one might think of himself, there are times when everyone needs help from someone more powerful.

When we find ourselves in need of “Higher” help, let us do as David, let us turn to the Lord God for help.

In God's Word: Are you living in the Spirit of Christ?

October 11, 2017 - Can you answer this question without hesitation, without doubt, without fear; “Where will you be 200 years from today?”

Only by living in Christ can you truthfully, without hesitation answer the question. For only those who know Christ Jesus and have fully and completely accepted him as Lord and Savior have that peace, knowing that their future lies with the Lord forever.
