November 13, 2019 - The greatest act of love the world has ever seen was done by Almighty God for all members of the human race as he looked at all people, lost in their sinful ways, endowed with the sin nature from their father and mother, Adam and Eve. Brought on all by their original sin in the garden of Eden.
November 11, 2019 - One day as Jesus passed through Samaria he stopped near the town of Sychar at the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jesus sat by Jacob's well which was also there and rested for he was tired from his travels.
As he sat there by the well a woman came to draw water and since Jesus had no means by which he could draw water he asked the woman of Samaria for a drink of water from Jacob's well.
November4, 2019 - Jesus tells us that if we follow him in this life that we will have problems due to the hate that the world has for him and for anyone who would dare follow him.
"In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
And then he tells us not to worry about those of this world who would harm us, but that we should fear only the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell.
For all who are Christian or to all who would become Christian, born-again followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." (Colossians 3:2)
In order to become one with our Lord we must die to this world and its evilness and be raised with him in righteousness, then we will seek the things that are above and not the things of this earth.
What is God’s glory? Can it be seen, one might ask.
October 21, 2019 - Yes, all will see it one day. When the Lord Jesus Christ comes back to rule the world, all will see his glory, at once.
The Israelites saw the glory of God at Mount Sinai as God came down on the mountain to talk to them. All could hear his voice and see his glory on that day.
October 14, 2019 - To whom do you give the credit and glory for your life? Do you thank other people, or the government, or even yourself as being the source of your success?
Let me give you and example of one whom was loved by the Lord and one who followed the Lord’s wishes throughout his life. Not perfect for he was a human man, but to the best of his limited ability as he was afflicted by his own weaknesses, just like you and I.
October 8, 2019 - “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
The verse, Matthew 28:19 speaks directly to the three aspects of the Triune God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, being the Holy Trinity of God.
The prophet, Isaiah, gives all people of faith a vision of hope, a look into the future when the Lord Jesus Christ will come.
Both in his first coming as the gospel is brought into being and when he returns a second time and the gospel is made complete in every detail.
The time when all will bow and profess that Christ Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings.
Isaiah speaks of this world as a dry place, a world void of God’s blessings, a wilderness which will be renewed and made holy by the coming of the Lord.
October 1, 2019 - I have almost completely stopped watching anything considered to be “news channels” today for all I see from them is turmoil, lies, hate and discontent by peoples all over the world.
I get so upset at these scenes of immorality and ungodliness that I choose just not to watch, not to subject myself to the witness of such evil works.
And so I look to the words of Isaiah for direction and explanation of what I see in todays world around me.
September 22, 2019 - “Thus it is written,” that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:46-47) These words Jesus spoke to this disciples just before he ascended back to the Father in heaven.
