In God's Word: The New Self

July 8, 2019 - There is an often asked question, “Oh where will I be when Christ returns to this earth, when he comes again.”

To be with him throughout eternity we must first be ready for his return, eagerly awaiting his coming and the rewards of being faithful to him throughout our lives on earth, we must first put on the new self, the Christian heart and live for Christ as he died for us.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1)

In God’s Word: Therefore No Condemnation

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

July 1, 2019 - For all who have truly and fully accepted Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Master there is no judgement on the day of the final judgment of mankind. For those have been set free from that judgement that leads to the death of the spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2)

"Gifts from God"

June 24, 2019 - “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgements and how inscrutable his ways!” (Romans 11:33)
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” (Romans 11:36)

In God’s Word: God’s Kingdom Delivered to You

June 17, 2019 - When man is born he is born with the sin nature passed from Adam to every person born of woman. This sin nature pulls us away from God and starts us on a road that will lead to destruction unless we turn from this wicked way and accept Jesus Christ as Lord.

To overcome this sin nature and obtain redemption from our sin we must seek God’s face and his fellowship, we must love him and seek him if we are to inherit the kingdom of God in heaven.

In God's Word: Forever at Rest

June 13, 2019 - This modern world is filled with those who defy God’s Word and his will.

Those who say, God is not real, that reality is what we see before us, the world we live in.

That the Bible is nothing but a collection of fairy tales and mean nothing to the modern, enlightened man or woman.

To those, our Father in heaven says, “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22)

In God's Word: Worthy to be Praised

June 10, 2019 - The song of the saved of the Lord! The words of David as he gives praise to the Lord for saving him from his enemies.

I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:1-2)

David realizes that his rescue from the evils that surrounded him has come from the Lord and he gives praise and glory to the only one who is worthy, the Lord God.

Peace and Joy By Mike Mills

June 5, 2019 - I love reading the Bible and one of my favorite chapters in it is Psalm 34. The chapter holds a special place for me for it describes my salvation, how I called upon the Lord and how he answered my calls for help.

”I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4)

“This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.” (Psalm 34:6)

"Hear This" By Mike Mills

May 27, 2019 - “Hear this all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, both low and high, rich and poor together. My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.” (Psalm 49:1-2)

The Psalmist makes it abundantly clear that he is speaking to all people and that all should listen and hear his words of wisdom.

“I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.” (Psalm 49:4)

"God Most High" By Mike Mills

May 20, 2019 - “A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?”

All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:6-8)

These are words given the prophet Isaiah by God Most High that he might tell the people of the greatness of God.

In God's Word: The Way of the Righteous and of the Wicked

May 13, 2019 - Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-3)
