June 18, 2021 - Panola College’s Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) Club donated $20,501.15 to the City of Carthage. The funds will be put toward College View Park, the all-inclusive park to be built on Bird Drive.
May 24, 2021 - Panola College is proud to announce the students named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists for the Spring 2021 semester.
To qualify for the President’s List, students must complete the semester with a GPA between 3.8 and 4.0 with a minimum of 12 semester credit hours. Only courses applying toward an associate’s degree or certificate are included in the computation.
April 21, 2021 - Maison Davis took home the Wharton Breakaway title this past weekend as she paced the Panola College Women's team to a fourth-place finish. Teammate Abbie Muckelroy got 8th in the barrel racing to add to the team's points. The women's team has made a late move to move up in the standings to 5th in the team race for the CNFR. The top two teams in the Southern Region will qualify for the CNFR.
April 20, 2021 - Dr. Tom Jones of Carthage donated a variety of dental equipment to Panola College that will be used for hands-on skills training by the dental assisting program. The equipment – which includes dental chairs, dental tools and other instruments – came from Dr. Jones’s dental office following his retirement earlier this year.
April 13, 2021 - The Panola College men’s basketball team will host an open tryout for the 2021-2022 season on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 3 p.m. The tryout will take place in the Arthur Johnson Gymnasium on the Panola College campus and will be limited to 50 participants.
The Ponies closed the 2020-2021 season 14-7 overall after competing in the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament on April 8. The team won seven of the nine games played at home during the season.
April 13, 2021 - Panola College/Shelby College Center is offering Beginning Yoga. The class begins April 19 – May 26 2021, Monday and Wednesday from 5:20 pm – 6:20 pm. February 2, 2021 - The 2021-2022 endowed scholarship application is available now through Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Students planning to attend Panola College during the 2021-2022 academic year are strongly encouraged to complete the application and take advantage of this opportunity.
February 21, 2021 - As a result of the continued power outage at Shelby Regional Training Center, in-person classes normally held at SRTC will remain virtual Monday and Tuesday, with the exception of welding students who should check their student email or reach out to their instructor for more information.
All in-person classes, including cosmetology and vocational nursing at Shelby College Center on Loop 500 in Center will resume on Monday, February22, 2021.
