“The Rooster Breakfast” Prepared by Center HS Culinary Arts Team

September 27, 2019 - The Rooster Breakfast, Sponsored by East Texas Poultry Supply, is a new fun addition to the Saturday morning activities Poultry Festival weekend.

Saturday morning, October 5th at 8am at Raymond Motors, the Center High School Culinary Arts students will be serving breakfast. This will be perfect for the 5K runners following the race as well as all spectators, Broiler Show participants and the early birds getting ready for the car show.

43rd Annual East Texas Poultry Festival Fast Approaching

September 27, 2019 - Only 6 days left until the 43rd Annual East Texas Poultry Festival, Sponsored by Farmers State Bank, opens its gates to a weekend of Fun, Entertainment, Arts and Crafts and lots of Food!
 
The Cutting of Feather Boa will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at 10am on the Frances Oates Center Stage! Children from all over the County will keep us entertained for the rest of the day! Look for the rest of the weekend entertainment activities in future updates.
 

Lasting Impressions to Host Business After Hours (Updated Hours)

September 25, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Paula Jones, Owner of Lasting Impressions, will welcome Chamber members and the public to a Business After Hours event on Thursday, September 26th , from 4pm to 6pm at 112 Foster Street.

Lasting Impressions will showcase the lovely selection of inventory while at the same time Chamber members will have an opportunity to network with each other in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Poultry Festival Queen’s Court Prepares for 2019 Scholarship Pageant

August 21, 2019 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the East Texas Poultry Festival will be October 3-5 on the historic downtown square. One of several preliminary festivities is the Queen's Court Scholarship Pageant.

The reigning East Texas Poultry Festival Queen, Abigail Hooper, will crown her successor on Saturday, September 28th on stage at Center High School. The Queen's Court is comprised of young ladies entering their junior year in a Shelby County high school with a grade point average of 85 or above.
