September 13, 2023 - Planning is underway for the 47th East Texas Poultry Festival, presented by Farmers State Bank. The Poultry Festival will be held October 5-7th on the historic downtown Center square. Arts and Crafts vendor applications are being accepted at the Shelby County Chamber office until Friday, September 15th. Elizabeth Andrusick, Executive Director opened Noble Children’s Services 13 years ago. She has an office in Tyler as well as the Center office.
August 29, 2023 - Why did the chicken cross the road? To run in the 2023 East Texas Poultry Festival Chicken Trot, sponsored by Axley & Rode on October 7th at Portacool Park. New this year is a 1K Fun Run which will start at 7:30am. The 5K Chicken Trot will start at 8:00am. It is always a fun event, with proceeds going to Cultivate Mental Health. Walk Across Texas is an eight week program designed to help Texans establish the habit of regular physical activity. It is a program for anyone who wants to use a fun and motivating team approach to being more active. And it is FREE!!
