September 16, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. The September challenge of architecture showed some outstanding photographs submitted by members for voting and critique. There was a very informative workshop about photographing wildlife presented by Janet Windham Hughes.

September 14, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church on Porter St. in Center Tx. from 9 am-12pm.
The workshop will be on shooting wildlife and the challenge will feature photographs submitted by members specializing architectural details.
Visitors are always welcome. If you are interested in improving your photography skills come on by and meet and greet our club.
August 20, 2018 - Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church on Porter Street in Center, Texas. With a large attendance this month, the voting for the "Water" Challenge with 27 photos was a challenge in itself. The workshop featured "Shooting Architecture" with our in-house Architecture expert giving a very good talk on techniques and procedures. Thank you Lawrence Davis. August 16, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their regular monthly meeting this Saturday, August 18th. In Center,Tx at the First United Methodist Church, at 211 Porter St. from 9am -12 pm.
The August monthly challenge will include a wide variety of photos with water being the main subject. There will a workshop conducted on "Shooting Architecture" in preparation for the September challenge. Visitors are welcome to attend our meetings and memberships are available. July 27, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday, July 21, 2018 with a really great workshop featuring "Shooting Still and Moving Water" in preparation for their August meeting Challenge "Water".
The July Challenge entitled "Flying" had some 27 unique and outstanding photographs submitted by members for critique. After all the votes were submitted the July Challenge winners are:

The monthly challenge will be photos submitted by members depicting "Flight." This should make for a good challenge. The workshop for July will be "Shooting still and moving water."
June 18, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting for June with their monthly Challenge featuring Night Photography. The Challenge featured a total of 20 photographs submitted by members for voting and critique . The quality of the pictures was outstanding and showed the talent of all who participated. June 12, 2018 - The PWPS will be holding its regular monthly meeting this Saturday, 6-16-18, at the First United Methodist Church on Porter St in Center,Tx. from 9am-12pm.
The workshop will be on “Shooting Birds and Bugs” and the Challenge will be “Night “ with photographs submitted by members featuring night photography shots.
May 23, 2018 - The PWPS held their monthly meeting Saturday, May 19, 2018 with a large attendance to hear the very informative workshop on "The Sunny 16 Rule" describing how synchronize the proper settings on your camera for taking outdoor photographs, presented by Janet Windham Hughes.
May 18, 2018 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their monthly meeting this Saturday, May 19, 2018, 9am to 12 noon at the First United Methodist Church located on Porter St. in Center, TX.
The May Challenge will feature "Black and White" photographs submitted by members for voting and critique.
