Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library Reopens June 17th

June 16, 2020 - We are back! Well, we will be soon! Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library has scheduled a tentative, part-time reopening for Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are very excited about this, but also want to keep public safety and the safety of the staff as our highest priority. We hope that this leads to us being open more days throughout the week and eventually being open full time again. However, with the Covid-19 positive tests still rising in Shelby County, we intend to take this one day at a time.

Fannie Brown Booth Library Meeting Update

February 5, 2020 - According to Library Representative Terri Lacher, she said "We received a phone call from Phyllis Still, our guest speaker this Saturday, informing us she has also come down with the flu, and therefore regrets she won't be joining us this Saturday. However, the Writers' Group will still be meeting and we would love to have anyone join us who would like to know more about us and grow in our journey to share our stories. We will still meet from 12:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, February 8th. See you there!"

Library Hosts First 'Working with the Workforce' Workshop

December 12, 2018 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's first 'Working with the Workforce' workshop did not have quite the turnout they were hoping for; however, the library staff are not discouraged!

The Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas - American Job Center Network and Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library intend to partner again in the future to host another workshop for those in the area who need help finding job opportunities and who need help “getting the job”!

Working with the Workforce!

December 11, 2018 - Come to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library to learn more about the Texas Workforce Commission and what it can do for you on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

The program will be in the Redditt Room at the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library from 10:30am until 12 noon.

Library Seeks Costumes for Halloween Fun

August 16, 2018 - The Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library is looking for donations, but this time we do Not just want books! The library has big plans for Halloween this year, and we need your help. If you have a Halloween costume in good, clean condition, that you no longer need or want, your library can put it to good use!

Please drop any Halloween costumes, accessories, or even craft supplies, fabrics, etc., off at the library anytime in the next two weeks to help us prepare for our new Halloween Costume Making Group!
