Seamless Summer Option Free Meals in School Year 2021-2022

July 26, 2021 - Shelbyville ISD announced its policy today that this school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year. Each school/site or central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed upon request.

Time Running Out for P-EBT Food Benefit Applications

June 22, 2020 - There is one week left to apply for P-EBT food benefits. A letter about the P-EBT program with a link to apply is on the Shelbyville ISD website at www.Shelbyville.k12.tx.us

P-EBT is for children who received SNAP March 2020 and children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-20 Texas school year. Visit hhs.texas.gov/PEBT for more information.

Special Olympics Schedule Set in Shelbyville

April 13, 2018 - Shelbyville ISD is hosting a Special Olympic Track and Field Meet on April 25, 2018 at their high school football stadium.

This is their third annual track meet and it has grown each year. There will be 11 school districts from East Texas participating, with over 100 Special Olympians competing.

Shelbyville Dragon Special Olympics track and field meet. Date: April 25, 2018 Check in: between 9am – 9:30am. Opening ceremonies 9:45am. Events begin: 10am. Closing ceremonies: 2pm.
