November 8, 2017 - Huxley Helping Hands, a local mission group from the Huxley community, are holding a food pantry for the residents of Shelby County. It will be held November 11, 2017. Identification and proof of residency will be required. Only (1) box per household will be given.

Sign in starts at 9:00 a.m. until food is gone. Location is at Hllcrest Baptist Church, 901 Southview Circle, Center, Texas.

October 20, 2017 - Shelbyville ISD Health Fair will be held November 16, 2017 1pm to 5:30pm at the Shelbyville Cafetorium.

The event will feature Health screenings, Safety Tips, Wellness Checks, Educational Information, Flu Shots, and Nutritional Facts.

October 12, 2017 - Shelbyville Middle School students competed in the Cross Country District Championships, at New Summerfield on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

The girls team was Kate Lawson, Kiana Bennett, Yadhira Anaya, Giselle Hernandez, Kendall Murry, McKenzie Lyons, Ava Silva, Gracie Leach, Kara Jones, Aubree Camp, and Gracie Slocum. The girls finished in 4th place overall.

The boys team was Kakory Standley, Cooper Bice, Talarrian Lister, Vincent Martinez, Naythen Bloodgood, Jimmy Bolger, and Michael Carrillo. The boys team finished 4th overall.
