February 12, 2018 - Hey folks! It's time to Love Your Library, by becoming a Friend of the Fannie Brown Booth Library!

As a Friend, you will help support library programs, including the delightful Holiday Puppet show, by raising funds through membership fees, book sales, and other activities.

Memberships include individual, family, corporate, and work.

Application forms are available at the library, or just call (936) 598-5522 to have one mailed to you.

Friends of the Library "Love Your Library Month"

February 7, 2018 - It is Love Your Library month at the Fannie Brown Booth Library in Center. Support our local library by becoming a Friend of the Library.

Friends of the Library raises funds through book sales, raffles, and membership fees. We want our library to be able to continue ordering new books, providing interesting programs, including the delightful Holiday Puppet show, as well as other activities.

Join Friends of the Library today, by picking up an application at the library or by calling (936)598-5522 to have one mailed to you.

Time is Running Out to Attend Book Sale

October 26, 2017 - Time is running out! The book sale at the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library on Tenaha Street in Center is nearly over! All day Friday, October 27, books will sell for half price! That means paperback books will be 25 cents and hardback books will be 50 cents. Hours on Friday will be 10am to 5pm.

On Saturday, October 28th the last of the sale, books will sell for $1 a bag. The library hours Saturday are 10am-2pm. All proceeds are used to purchase more books for the library.

Used Books Needed for Fall Book Sale

October 4, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition.

No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours. The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 24 through Saturday, October 28.

SCOM Appreciation for Support of Postal Food Drive

May 30, 2017 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries gives a heartfelt thank you to the Center Post Office Employees and the entire community for supporting the recent Postal Food Drive.

The donation is a tremendous help to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, a 501C3 agency, dedicated to feeding the hungry and assisting the needy.

God bless you for helping to make a difference in the lives of people in Shelby County.

Opening Week of Library Book Fair (Updated)

April 24, 2017 - Time is running out! The Fannie Brown Booth Library book sale will soon be over! Friday, April 28, all books will be half price.

This means paperbacks will sell for 25 cents and hardback books for 50 cents. Saturday, books will sell for $1 a bag. Buying books helps our local library buy more books.

Fannie Brown Booth Library Book Sale

April 18, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition. No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours.

The books will be sold in the Spring Book Sale to be held Tuesday, April 25-Saturday, April 29. All proceeds will go to the library for the purchase of new books.

December 8, 2016 - Friends of the Library would like to thank all the many volunteers who helped make the fall book sale a big success. Your help was invaluable; we could not have done it without you!

Also a big thank you to Ms. Charlotte Szabo, for the beautiful quilt she made and generously donated for our quilt raffle.

All proceeds from the book sale go to buy new books for the library. Again, thank you, one and all!

The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 25th through Saturday, October 29th. All proceeds will go to the library for the purchase of new books. June 13, 2016 - Shelby County Outreach Ministries would like to give a big thank you to the Center Post Office Employees and the entire community for supporting the recent Postal food drive. The participation was tremendous! Post Master, Steven Standley, stated an estimated 7200 pounds of food were given. The donation is a huge help to Shelby County Outreach Ministries, a 501 C3 agency, dedicated to feeding the hungry and assisting the needy.
