January 11, 2018 - The James Antioch Community will have their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the James Antioch Community Building. We meet at 6:30 PM and have a covered dish super. There will be an important business meeting and then as time permits we will play Bingo! Come and join your friends for an evening of fun and friendship.
December 8, 2017 - On December 16, 2017 at 6:30 PM, the James Antioch Community will have their Christmas Party at the community building. Please bring your special Christmas covered dish for all of us to eat. We will have a $10 Chinese gift exchange and some fun and games. Bring your gift marked for a man or woman. We all hope to see many of our neighbors that evening.
November 13, 2017 - The James Antioch Community will have their November community meeting on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 6:30 in the James Antioch Community Building. Bring your covered dish with your best creation. There will be time for fun and games after we eat.
October 10, 2017 - The James Antioch Community will have a regular monthly meeting Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 6:30pm. We will carry-in a covered dish for the meal. In the business meeting we will make plans for a fund raiser. Come with your good ideas and then stay for some games and socialization.
November 21, 2016 - Bobbie Nutt brought her quilt that she won at the Texas Extension Education Association State Conference to the XYZ Homemakers Club at the regular November meeting held at Walter and Ellen's house.
April 12, 2016 - The Smith Cemetery Association will have their annual Dinner on the Grounds on Sunday, April 24, 2016. After a short business meeting there will be a carry in dinner starting at 12:30 noon. Members are encouraged to bring contribution for upkeep of the cemetery that is located off Hwy 7 E. Please plan to attend and bring family members for a time of fellowship.
March 28, 2016 - The Shelby County Homemaking Club will have a yard sale on Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2, 2016 in the yard of 223 FM 2788. This is near the corner of HWY 7 E and Loop 500. Proceeds from the sales go toward educating homemakers or anyone on how to live healthy and successful lives and how to be wise consumers. For more information contact Dot Golding at 598-2905.
