December 10, 2019 - (Click here to view the updated program) - Everyone is invited to attend Sacred Sounds of the Season Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00 PM in the Center First United Methodist Church sanctuary. Choirs and individuals from across Shelby county will perform musical offerings that celebrate birth of Christ in this holy Christmas season.
December 3, 2019 - Thank you to Xi Alpha Delta Rho Sorority for their very generous donation for the second year to Center First United Methodist Church Lucretia's Christmas Wish program that sponsors a program each Christmas for students around the county.
May 15, 2018 - UMARMY (United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission By Youth) will be in town June 10th-16th staying for a week at Center First United Methodist Church located at 211 Porter Street. They will be building wheelchair ramps, porches, painting houses and doing other small repairs.

March 22, 2018 - (Flyer) - Come out for an afternoon of fun and games in the parking lot and field behind the church. The event will be held at First United Methodist Church of Center on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 1pm - 3pm.
There will be a fuzzy bunny jump, floating ducks, horse shoes, cotton candy, popcorn, egg toss, photo booth, pool noodle ring toss, bouncy horse race, bouncy house, ball roll, yard bowling, and much more fun.
June 7, 2017 - Troop 119 is having a Merit Badge Workshop this week for further advancement in the troop. One of the merit badges we are working on is in Communication, and we decided we wanted to let our community know more about what we are doing right now.
September 8, 2016 - First United Methodist Church will celebrate it's 150th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 29th from 10 am to 5 pm. Sunday, October 30th Men’s Breakfast will be at 9am, followed by a Combined Worship Service at 10:15 am. The church was established in 1866 the same year the courthouse was moved from Shelbyville to Center.
