February 19, 2021 - The Emergency Management Office currently has a limited supply of water and MRE’s for distribution. This will be from now till 5:00pm today (February 19) or until supply runs out behind the Shelby County Courthouse.
We have submitted requests for more through the proper resource request submission procedures.
February 10, 2021 - County Judge Allison Harbison has received a letter from Dr. John Hellerstedt (Commissioner of TX Dept. of Health Services). The letter states that under Governor Abbott’s Executive Order GA-32 which states:

The upcoming holidays will lead to more activities, traveling, and gatherings. Plus the recent increase in active cases and hospitalizations throughout the state and country makes it all the more important to adhere to all the recommendations by health authorities.
July 1, 2020 - Walmart notified the Shelby County Emergency management office that due to low participation with the COVID-19 drive-thru testing they are discontinuing the service.
May 8, 2020 - Shelby County Judge Allison Harbison and Shelby County Office of Emergency Management would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the following businesses and entities that so generously gave of their time and resources during the mobile drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinics.
Your willingness to help out reminds us again of how thankful we are to be serving this community.
Update: Any first responder or medical personnel can get tested without having ANY symptoms. Just call or register on line for an appointment. The first day of testing had 102 people get tested.
May 2, 2020 - The drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will once again open for Shelby County residents.
These tests site will be open Monday & Tuesday May 4th & 5th. ALL Tests will need to be scheduled in advance and patients will be given appointments for the test.
April 2, 2020 - The Nacogdoches County COVID-19 Call Center will continue to take calls from Shelby County residents. If you are experiencing these symptoms:
Fever
Cough
Shortness of Breath
Contact the call center at: 936-468-4787 for screening and triage.
Individuals who call and are screened and meet the testing criteria will be sent to a testing site located in Shelby County.

If you said, "Yes" to any of these questions then you should attend our SKYWARN® Spotter Training Class being held at the active Shelby County Courthouse, 200 San Augustine St. in Center. The training will be held Tuesday, May 1st at 6:00 PM in the 2nd floor community room and is sponsored by the National Weather Service and the Shelby County Office of Emergency Management.
