March 13, 2020 - The Shelby County Criminal Misdemeanor Court has been canceled on March 17th, as a result of the recommendations of the Council of Presiding Judges.

November 20, 2019 - The annual County Attorney Toy Drive has begun according to County Attorney Gary Rholes. The Toy Drive needs donations of new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 3 through 12 or monetary donations.
In the past years we have been able to hand out thousands of gifts thanks to the generosity of our citizens. Anyone needing further information can call the County Attorney’s Office at (936) 598-6100.

January 5, 2018 - County Attorney Gary Rholes says thanks to the many people that helped make the Toy Drive a success. Rholes stated that his office handed out presents to over 500 kids, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of Shelby County individuals and churches.

December 4, 2016 - The 11th annual County Attorney Toy Drive has begun according to County Attorney Gary Rholes.
The Toy Drive needs donations of new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 3 through 12 or monetary donations. The County Attorney Toy Drive would like to receive the donations by December 1st.
Rholes explained that his staff works with Shelby County Schools to obtain names of deserving children. The toys will then be distributed by his office on December 10th.

Rholes explained that his staff works with Shelby County Schools to obtain names of deserving children. The toys are then distributed by his office. “The need is great this year, so we really need help from our generous Shelby County Citizens” Rholes stated.
