April 21, 2020 - Organizers of the annual Center Broadcasting Co./Shelby County Bass Anglers’ Take a Kid Fishing Bream Tournament, that was scheduled for May 9, announced this week, the event has been cancelled, with no plans to re-schedule this year.

Tournament director Lori Alvis says in light of the recent COVID-19 social distancing, and orders from the Sabine River Authority, the 42nd kid’s fishing tourney will not take place on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend at Huxley Bay Marina on Toledo Bend.

May 3, 2019 (Entry Form) - The largest children’s-only event in deep east Texas and western Louisiana will be held Saturday, May 11 when Center Broadcasting Company and the Shelby County Bass Anglers host the 41st Annual Take a Kid Fishing Bream Tournament on Toledo Bend.

May 1, 2018 - Jay-Jay the Clown will be the entertainer during the 40th annual Center Broadcasting/Shelby County Bass Angler’s Take a Kid Fishing Bream Tournament, set for Saturday, May 12 at Huxley Bay Marina on Toledo Bend Reservoir.

November 7, 2017 - The Shelbyville Band Boosters will be having a meeting on Tuesday, November 14th at 6pm in the band hall. All band parents are urged to attend.

October 23, 2017 - The Shelbyville Band Booster Meeting for tonight, October 23, 2017 is cancelled due to a financial workshop being scheduled for Seniors. The meeting will be rescheduled.
