September 18, 2015 - This past Sunday Pastor Karen Jones held a leaf up during children's moments and ask the children what would happen to the leaf now that it had fallen from the tree. The children respond it would turn brown and die. "How could the leaf stay alive?" Pastor Karen asked. A child replied by staying connected to the tree. Pastor Karen went on to say we as Christians are like the leaf. In order to grow as Christians we must stay connected to our faith.
March 13, 2015 - Timpson High School teacher Beverly Tippett is a graduate from Center High School, Panola College and holds a BBA and a Master’s in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has taught in Timpson for forty-three years. Mrs. Tippett says, “Having taught for forty-three years at Timpson High School, I have seen many changes in my classes. When I started teaching there were 10 manual typewriters and 10 electric typewriters in my classroom.
March 2, 2015 - On February 6-7, members of the Timpson Band competed at the Region 21 Solo and Ensemble Contests held in Nacogdoches. The students earned a total of 46 first division medals. Congratulations to these students for working very hard and for doing such an outstanding job representing TISD!
