June 19, 2018 - Stephen F. Austin State University has suspended head football coach Clint Conque pending an investigation into alleged violations of university policy. The investigation is expected to take several weeks. No comments will be made by the university until the investigation is complete.
September 8, 2017 - The Center High School Class of 1982 will celebrate its 35th Homecoming reunion at 7pm Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Center Civic Center. The dinner party will begin at 7pm followed by dancing to music provided by DJ Jesse Ruiz until midnight.
All class members are encouraged to watch the Roughriders take on Gladewater at 7:30pm Friday, Sept. 15, and to ride on the Class of 1982 Homecoming float during the parade at 4pm Saturday. Float decorating will begin at noon in the Farmers State Bank parking lot.
July 29, 2015 NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Authorized by the Texas Legislature, the Stephen F. Austin State University Board of Regents approved a $46.4 million investment for the construction of a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics building on campus.
Regents approved Kirksey Architecture of Houston as the designer. The Houston-based firm of architects, designers and planners pledged to provide a design reflective of the university’s environment and reputation.
