Center HS Qualifies 11 for Academic UIL Regionals, Places 2nd Overall at District

March 26, 2018 - The UIL Academic Team and the First Baptist Church hosted the District 16-4A District Contest Friday.

Center High School wound up Second Place overall (trophy is located in the CHS front office) and qualified 11 kids to the regional tournament next month.

Eugene Nunez is the District Champion in Accounting and the team of Nunez, Jessenia Salinas, Amerison Shrestha, and David Palacios was second overall.

In Calculator Applications, Joshua Clark placed 3rd and Amerison Shrestha as fourth.

Boys Basketball 16-4A All-District Awards

March 9, 2018 - Following an outstanding basketball season, the 2017-18 District 16-4A Boys All-District Awards results have been released.

The District MVP is Jaterious Evans; Offensive Player of the Year is Kaleb Parks; Defensive Player of the Year is Reggie Daniels; and Coach of the Year is Center High School's Hiram Harrison.

Oh WhataNight! Fundraiser to Support CHS Newspaper

March 6, 2018 - No need to cook dinner tonight, March 6! Help the Lariat Newspaper Staff publish their third newspaper of the school year by dining in or driving thru Whataburger from 5-8 p.m. Twenty-five (25) percent of sales will be donated to the CHS Newspaper - The Lariat.

Center's Game Information for UIL Regional Basketball Tournament

February 28, 2018 - UIL Regional Basketball Tournament for Conference 4A - Region II will be held at University Field House located on Neal Street, Texas A & M - Commerce, Texas.

Session 1 is Friday, March 2. Game 1 is Carter VS Center at 6pm. Game 2 is Lincoln VS Carthage at 8pm.
Session 2 is the Final and is Saturday, March 3 at 12noon.

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students/child. Tickets are available online at WeAreLionsTix.com

Center ISD Early Release Friday, Fan Bus Information

February 28, 2018 - To accommodate all of the transportation and travel needs for the basketball regional semifinal game in Commerce, we will be releasing school 3.5 hours early on Friday, March 2.

We will be providing Basketball Fan Buses again this year. If you or someone you know wants to ride the fan bus, call the Center ISD Transportation Dept at (936)598-2880 and reserve your spot. Adults $ 5.00 students $3.00 and children und 5 years old are free. All children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
