USDA Farm State Agency County Committee Nomination Period Begins June 15

June 11, 2020 – Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Lance Jacobs, announced that the nomination period for local FSA county committees will begin on Monday, June 15, 2020.

"County Committees are unique to FSA and allow producers to have a voice on federal farm program implementation at the local level," said Jacobs.

FSA Makes Changes to Farm Loan, Disaster, Conservation and Safety Net Programs, Easier for Customers to Conduct Business

March 26, 2020 - USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) county offices are open in Texas by phone appointment only until further notice, and FSA staff are available to continue helping agricultural producers with program signups, loan servicing and other important actions. Additionally, FSA is relaxing the loan-making process and adding flexibilities for servicing direct and guaranteed loans to provide credit to producers in need.

FSA County Committee Announces Proposed LAA Changes in San Augustine County

March 11, 2020 - The Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Committee proposes changes to the local administrative areas (LAAs) for the 2020 county committee election. These areas are used in the County Committee Election process as locations from which members are elected and serve. The proposal decreases the existing 11 local administrative areas (LAAs) to 10 LAAs.

Foreign Persons Must Report U.S. Agricultural Land Holdings

March 14, 2019 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Lance Jacobs in Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County reminds foreign persons with an interest in agricultural lands in the United States that they are required to report their holdings and any transactions to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.

June 12, 2018 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) encourages America’s farmers and ranchers to nominate candidates to lead, serve and represent their community on their local county committee. According to USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) Nacogdoches-Angelina-Trinity-San Augustine-Shelby County Executive Director, Lance Jacobs, FSA will accept nominations for county committee members beginning Friday, June 15, 2018.
