Logansport Library Hosting Author Talk, Book Signing Event

June 21, 2023 - Logansport Library welcomes two authors on Saturday, June 24 for an author talk and book signing event.

From 10am until 2pm, Jann Franklin author of the Small-Town Girl Mystery Series and Hollie Stone (15 years old) author of 'Hindsight With Hollie: Perfectly Imperfect' will be signing copies of their books and visiting with patrons about their books.

Please come support these local authors, visit, and learn more about their success stories. This event is sponsored by the Logansport Friends of the Library.

Teri Hawsey Memorial Fundraiser

May 14, 2021 - There will be a table set up at the River City Festival in Logansport Saturday, May15, from 10am - 2pm for the Teri Hawsey Memorial Fund.  

All donations made in memory of Teri will be used for the Children' Program at the Logansport Library. 

Donations may also be made at  Community Bank in Logansport.

Logansport Veterans Day Program

November 6, 2019 - The Friends of the Logansport Library in conjunction with Zach Bossier are honoring Veterans on Veterans Day, Monday November 11th beginning at 10am at Big Zach's.

A program will start at 10am with the welcoming of the Veterans. During the program the Veterans will be asked the branch of service they served in and to tell a little something about themselves.

Logansport Friends of the Library Hosting Book Sale

September 19, 2019 - Friends of the Library in Logansport are having a book sale on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, September 26, 27, and 28 at 9am daily. Paperbacks are 15 cents and Hardbacks are 40 cents or 3 for $1.

Logansport Friends of the Library Raising Money for New Sign

August 20, 2019 - The Logansport Friends of the Library has hard back books for 50 cents and paper backs for 20 cents. All genres to choose from.

The Logansport Friends of the Library are seeking donations for a new sign to go in front of the library to announce upcoming events. The old one was destroyed in a storm. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 972, Logansport, LA 71049, attn: Friends or dropped off at the Library!

City of Tenaha Community Wide Easter Egg Hunt

March 27, 2017 - The City of Tenaha will be hosting a community wide Easter Egg hunt Saturday, April 15. The hunt is set to begin 10am at Tiger Stadium Football Field.

Bounce on over with your camera for free pictures with the Easter Bunny! Hunting ages are 12 years and under.

There will be free games to play, a bounce house, and an Easter egg coloring station. A meal of hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for $2.
