Local Students to Graduate from UT Tyler

April 27, 2023 - The University of Texas at Tyler will recognize spring 2023 degree candidates during Spring 2023 Commencement April 28-29.

Candidates from Center are Victoria Baker receiving a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology (2016 Graduate of Joaquin HS); Lorenzo Chavez receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2017 Graduate of Center HS); Axel Luna receiving a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (2019 Graduate of Center HS); and Jacob Mitchell receiving a Doctor of Pharmacy (2015 Graduate of Center HS).

UT Tyler Recognizes Four Students from Shelby County on Fall 2022 Dean's List

February 3, 2023 - The University of Texas at Tyler announced the students who were named to the fall 2022 Dean's List and four those recognized were from Shelby County.

To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must have completed 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit in the awarding semester with a grade point average of at least 3.75. To be considered for this recognition, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor's degree. This recognition is made in fall and spring semesters.

UT Tyler Recognizes Two Students from Timpson on Fall 2022 President's Honor Roll

February 3, 2023 - The University of Texas at Tyler announced students who were named to the fall 2022 President's Honor Roll and two of those recognized are from Timpson, Texas.

To qualify for the President's Honor Roll, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit with an "A" in all courses. To be considered for this recognition, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor's degree. This recognition is made in fall and spring semesters.

UT Tyler Recognizes More than 600 Students on Fall 2019 Dean’s List

February 19, 2020 – The University of Texas at Tyler announced today that 614 University students and 86 pharmacy students were named to the fall 2019 Dean’s List.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit in the awarding semester with a grade point average of at least 3.75. To be considered for this recognition, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor’s degree. This recognition is made in fall and spring semesters.

UT Tyler Recognizes Over 700 Students on Fall 2019 President’s Honor Roll

February 19, 2020 – The University of Texas at Tyler announced today that 721 students were named to the fall 2019 President’s Honor Roll.

To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit with an “A” in all courses. To be considered for this recognition, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor’s degree. This recognition is made in fall and spring semesters.

February 21, 2019 - The University of Texas at Tyler announced today that a record-number 751 students were named to the President's Honor Roll for the fall 2018 semester.

To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit with a grade of “A” in all courses. To be considered for such recognition in any semester, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor’s degree. The President’s Honor Roll is awarded in fall and spring semesters only.

UT Tyler Announces Fall 2017 President’s Honor Roll

February 27, 2018 – The University of Texas at Tyler announces 669 students to its Fall 2017 President’s Honor Roll. 

In order to qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, a student must have completed, in one semester, 12 or more semester hours of undergraduate college-level credit with a grade of “A” in all courses. To be considered for such recognition in any semester, a student must qualify as a matriculated student pursuing a first bachelor’s degree. The President’s Honor Roll is awarded in fall and spring semesters only.
