Tuesday, April 18, 2017- Center Roughrider’s Ballpark -

Henderson Lion’s pitching ace Kaine Campbell took a no-hitter into the final inning of Tuesday’s varsity baseball game with the Center Roughriders. ‘Riders first baseman Jaxon Covington was able to single to left field to break up the no-hitter. Carthage leads the conference with a 9-0 league mark with three games left.

The Lion’s Ethan Easley scored the game’s lone run, in the top of the fifth inning, on a single to right field and an error on a pick-off attempt.

Clay Snider and Logan Mitchell teamed up on the pitching mound to keep Center in the game by only allowing one hit and two free bases during the final three innings.

Centers’ overall record now stands at 13-11 and they will next travel to Carthage to face the Bulldogs at 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 21, 2017.
