Bro. Henry Hughes, 71, of Center, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, in Center.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2018, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Don Moore, Bro. Chris Collins and Bro. Keith Keele officiating.
Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Bro. Hughes was born July 4, 1947, in Center, to Thomas Clinton Hughes and Ellie Irene Carter Hughes. He served as a crew chief for the Texas Highway Department and was a licensed minister for forty years.
Bro. Hughes was a soul winner and his hobby was fishing. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Center.

Brother: David Hughes and wife, Kathy, of Center

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

Parents: Thomas Clinton Hughes and Ellie Irene Carter Hughes
Sister: Maudine Hughes Hopkins
Brothers: Orland Leo Hughes, Billy Clyde Hughes, John Bennarr Hughes, Jack Monroe Hughes, Orville Carter Hughes, Thomas Carl Hughes, Ted Carroll Hughes
Pallbearers will be Glen Bolton, Jason Burch, Glynn Hutto, Paul Breaux, Marshall Windham and Waylon Boles. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. K.P. Bradshaw and Bro. Henry’s nieces and nephews.
