Dean Fisher

Dean Fisher, age 65, of Bonnerdale, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
 
He was born on August 27, 1950 in Beaumont, Texas, the son of Arlis Eugene Fisher and Earline Mae Roy Fisher.  On July 5, 1975, he was married to Anne Waller.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Linda Edge; and his mother-in-law, Louise Waller.
 
After retiring in 2006 from Lyondell Petrochemicals, he owned and operated the Bonnerdale Store for seven years.  Having gained experience in the fire brigade for Lyondell, Dean served the Bonnerdale Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter and as Fire Chief, a position he left on December 31, 2015. 
 
He loved to fish and play baseball.  It was said he may have gotten his job with Lyondell so that they could have him for the company softball team.  In high school, he was a wonderful athlete.  He held the Texas state record for distance in both the shot put and discus up until seven years ago.  He had many interests including, photography, scuba diving, archery and old cars, just to name a few.
 
He is survived by his wife, Anne Fisher of Bonnerdale; two children, Nicole “Nickel” Styles of Hot Springs, Arkansas and David Wayne Brittain of Heidenheimer, Texas; five grandchildren, Justin Dean Brittain, Lauren Styles, Cody Huffmeister, Bailey Woolsey and Wesley Woolsey; his sister, Beverly Baker of Mount Vernon, Texas; and his brother-in-law, Guy Edge of Bonnerdale. Also, Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and Jimmy Hagler of Center, Texas
 
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2016, in the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Brandon Westgate and Pastor Mike Naron officiating.
