Dorothy Eyvone Ellington Parker, 83, of Center, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Center, Texas. She was born on October 14, 1934 in Center, the daughter of Maurice and Maxine Vail Harbison Ellington. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Mangum Funeral Home.

Dorothy spent her lifetime being a homemaker and raising her family. She was very proud of her children and was the epitome of what a mother should be. Dorothy loved to cook and was a talented seamstress. She was also very independent and liked doing things on her own. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and a passion for hard work that her family will carry on.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Orell Parker, Sr.; son-in-law, Tommy Jefferson; brothers, Charles Ray Vail and Carl A. Clark; brother-in-law, Donell Parker; sisters, Jerri Sue Richards and Carolyn Williams; grandson, Quintin Lane Jefferson; and great-grandson, Blake Smith.
