Ed Roberts, 74, of Center, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Stewart Lowe officiating. Military honors graveside service will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center under the direction of VFW Post 8904.
Mr. Roberts was born May 29, 1942, in Glendale, California. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Roberts retired from Center Police Department after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Center Volunteer Fire Department, Christian Motorcycle Association, and for the last 30+ years, he was “Santa Rides A Motorcycle”. Mr. Roberts was known for helping with numerous community projects. As a hobby, he enjoyed woodworking.
