Jack G. Yates, 85, of Center, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, in Center.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Todd Jenkins and Bro. Glen Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

Mr. Yates was born March 1, 1932, in Shelbyville, to Robert Alvie Yates and Mary Carroll Yates.  Following his retirement from Hallmark, Mr. Yates spent time hunting, gardening, working in the yard and drinking coffee with his friends around town.  His favorite time was time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mr. Yates was a member of Sardis Pentecostal Church in the Sardis Community of Shelby County.
