Matthew Wade Hughes, 43, of Orange, Texas passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Matthew was born April 8, 1973 in Port Arthur, Texas to Shelley and Michael Alton Hughes. He was a resident of Orange for 16 years and was employed as a machinist for Gulf Copper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Hughes; grandparents, Alton and Betty Hughes, and E.R. and Jo Stone.
Survivors include:
Mother: Shelley McClain, and husband Sammy
Wife: Janie Droddy Shackelford of Orange
Daughters:
Ashley Shackelford of Groves
Kayla Shackelford of Port Neches
Brother: Michael S. Hughes, and wife Tonja of Kemp
Granddaughter: Julianna Grace Shackelford
Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Freddy Freddy Shores officiating. Burial will follow at 4pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Center, Texas.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
