Among Ms. Hanks’ survivors are two sons, Duley Hanks, of Alaska, and Joe David Hanks, of San Augustine, one daughter, Kathy Kilcrease, of Lufkin, and two sisters, Glenda Hathaway, of Austin, and Bonnie Warr, of Pineland.

Glenda "Kay" Tillman, 54, of Center passed away Thursday, December 1, 2005 at East Texas Medical Center in Carthage. Graveside services will be 2 pm Sunday December 4, 2005 at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, December 4, 2005 from 11 am until time of service. She was born July 24, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Richard & Irene Porter Tillman. Eleanor E. Windham, 81, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005 at her residence in Shelbyville. Mrs. Windham was born April 24, 1924 in Galveston to Panlie George Lagoudis and Sadie Croth Calhoun Lagoudis. She worked as a bookkeeper for a bicycle parts distributor. Mrs. Windham was a member of the Glen Rose Baptist Church in Houston. She had been a resident of Shelbyville for the past twenty-four years. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Watson & Sons Chapel, Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Survivors include: Husband, Robert B. Windham of Shelbyville, Daughter, June Arlene Cox and husband Ronnie of Moses Lake, Washington. Son Harold Coats and wife Linda of Nacogdoches. Step Daughters, Mary Jo Windham of Iraq and Teresa Kay Guinn of Livingstone. 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Numerous other relatives. Rosalea Bonner Gray
Rosalea Bonner Gray 86, of Joaquin passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2005. She was born March 21, 1919 in Joaquin, Texas to Rufus Bonner and Alma Cox Bonner. Mrs. Gray was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Lone Cedar Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and owned Gray's Jot'em Down Store for 25 years. Services for Mrs. Gray will be held at 2 pm Sunday, December 11, 2005 at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Rex Gray, Bro. Sam Glover & Bro. Lawrence Thompson officiating. Mrs. Faulk was a member of the First Baptist Church and Men's Bible Class in Center. She was a retired LVN with over 42 years of service and a lifelong resident of Center. Diamon died Dec. 24, 2005 at Colonial Pines Nursing Home in San Augustine, Born April 12, 1944 in Center she was the daughter of Odis and Betty Tidwell of Center. She was a homemaker. Her husband , Bro Lee Diamond, preceded her in death. Tim McKnight
Tim McKnight age 57, of Joaquin passed away Friday, December 23 2005 in Joaquin. He was born, August 5, 1948 in Logansport, La. to Travis McKnight and Winifred McDaniel McKnight. He was a truck driver and worked in the oilfield for 30 years. He was a member of the Willow Grove Community Church. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Joaquin with Rev. Mike Rodgers officiating. Survivors include: Wife: Sue McKnight of Joaquin, Son: Jarrett McKnight & wife Nakia of Joaquin, Daughter: Kim Hutto and husband Ronnie of Center. 3 Grandchildren: T.J. Roger "Ted" Schillings
Roger "Ted" Schillings, 79, of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania passed away December 24, 2005. He was born August 26, 1926 in Shelby County, Texas to A.E. "Eck" and Mary Hughes Schilling. Mr. Schillings was a 1943 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He served one year in the Merchant Marines and a year and a half in the Army. He received a B.S. Degree at Texas A&M University in 1950. He then received his Masters Degree in 1953. Mr. Schillings received his P.H.D. from Rutgers University in 1962. He was a biochemist for Wyeth Labs and spent 43 years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Graveside services will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park for friends and family on Friday December 30, 2005 at 2 pm with Bro. Gene Kirkley officiating. Survivors include: Sister: Sybil Shillings Thomas of Center, 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews and Numerous Cousins. Preceded by Sisters, Opal Schillings Askew and Mae Schillings Bridges. Rachel Oswalt Wimberly
Psalm 116:15, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Rachel Oswalt Wimberly departed this life on December 30, 2005. Rachel was born on January 24, 1923 in Huxley, Texas, the oldest child of Wesley Samuel and Rena Rebecca Oswalt. She grew up and attended school in Huxley and Shelbyville, Texas. Rachel endeavored to live her life as a good example of the light she had been given in Christ. She loved her family and friends and was a good influence in many people’s lives.

Rachel was united in marriage with Alva George Wimberly in Orange, Texas on January 19, 1942. They made their home in Orange and Huxley Community before moving to Houston in 1952 and returning to Logansport, Louisiana in 1966. Her participation in the Golden Tones Singing Senior Group of First Baptist Church Logansport was always a delight to her. Alva George preceded Rachel in death on May 29, 1987. Also preceding her in death were her parents Wesley and Rena Oswalt; sister, Mittie Faith O’Rear and Brother, Harold E. Oswalt.

Rachel is survived by her two daughters, Becky and Jean: Georgia Rebecca Kelley and husband A.F. (Sandy) Kelley of Houston, Texas and their children: Kimberly Karyl Strong and her husband Alan Christopher Strong of Houston and their children, Alana Kelley and Trevor Alan; Wesley Michael Kelley and his wife Kimberly Ann Kelley of San Angelo and their daughters, Grace Ann and Vivian Lee. Carol Regena Outlaw of Sugar Land, Texas and her two daughters: Staci Rebecca Martinez and her husband Michael Martinez of Sugar Land, Texas and their daughters, Gabrielle Elizabeth and Ella Christine; Amanda Faith Baker and her husband Billie G. Baker, Jr. of Springs, Texas and their daughters, Kara Jordan and Taren Lee.

Rachel is also survived by her younger sister, Elora Mae (Loe) Gafford and her husband Bert Gafford of Center, Texas; and two sisters-in-law: Alma Wimberly of Shreveport, Louisiana and Judy Oswalt of Carthage, Texas and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rachel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Wes Kelley, Chris Strong, Michael Martinez, Billie Baker, Nathan Purvis, Truman Wimberly, Mack Warren and Jerry Harrell. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 2, 2006 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home with David Permenter, Pastor of Grand Cane Baptist Church, Al Turner, Pastor of First Baptist Church Logansport, Charles Hall, Former Pastor of First Baptist Church Logansport and Ken Wimer, Pastor of Shreveport Grace Church officiating. Interment to follow at Wimberly Cemetery in Huxley, Texas. The family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Home in Shreveport for their support to Rachel during her brief stay.

JoAnn Daniels, 74, of Joaquin, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005. She was born December 17, 1931 in the Lone Cedar Community to John R. McDaniel and Grace Oleta Samford McDaniel. Ms. Daniels was a member of the Lone Cedar Baptist Church. She was a mother, grandmother, and very devoted to her family.
