Tony Harland Barclay, 79, of Frisco, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Frisco.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2019, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Joyce Cravens officiating.  Interment will follow at Woods Post Office Cemetery in Panola County.

Tony was born February 19, 1939, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, to Ernest J. Barclay and Alma L. Stone Barclay. He served in the US Navy, was a firefighter in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and worked in Saudi Arabia in the 60’s. Tony later joined Anixter Cable Company and worked there for 30 years before retiring. He loved Dallas Cowboy football and was one of their biggest fans. Tony was a member of Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco, where he was involved in the Providence Sunday School Class. He was also a lifetime member of B.P.O.E. Carlsbad #1558.

Brother: Heath J. Barclay and wife Alice of San Antonio

Sisters-in-law: 
Helen Baldwin Pleasant and husband Otis of Center
Jana Baldwin of Conroe
Patricia Baldwin Edmondson and husband Bill of Waskom

Special cousin: Tom Barclay.

Preceded in death by wife: Sandra Jo Barclay; parents, Ernest J. Barclay and Alma L. Stone Barclay; brothers-in-law, Jacky Lynn Baldwin, James “Jimmy” Edmond Baldwin; mother and father-in-law, Jessie Lee Hartt Baldwin and James Edmond Baldwin; niece, Pam Baldwin.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Barclay’s nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Massei, John Egan, Wayne Williams, Ed Shaw, Tom Barclay, Bruce Martin, David VanHouten.
