Center Roughriders Horseshoe Ballpark on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 –

The Center Roughrider fell to the visiting Carthage Bulldogs in a District 17 4A conference game on Tuesday. The Bulldogs used seven hits 12 walks and three Center errors to gain the advantage needed to end the contest in the bottom of the fifth inning due to the league’s 10-run mercy rule as they led 13-0 at game’s end.

Center’s Colton Crawford was able to reach base with an infield single in the bottom of the second inning and teammate Collin Jones led off the third inning with a walk, but a good defensive day, and seven strikeouts by Bulldog’s pitcher Brooks Brewster kept the Roughriders in check for most of the evening.

Center will finish their 2021 season on Friday, April 30 when they travel to Carthage for their final game of the season. First pitch will be at 7 p.m. at Bulldogs Ballpark.
